No, and we don’t want it to. AI proposes; the estimator approves. A takeoff produces quantities — a complete estimate also depends on labor, materials, equipment, production rates, subcontractor quotes, waste, overhead and commercial judgment. BidStream speeds up the mechanical part and keeps the decisions where they belong.

The plan set as PDF. BidStream works with both vector and scanned drawings — it uses different methods for each — and scale is confirmed before any calibrated measurement. Nothing to install: it runs in the browser and your team can review the same plan simultaneously.

BidStream is designed for general and specialty contractors across architectural, structural, civil, MEP and specialty scopes, with CSI-division profiles that guide which sheets to review and what to look for. When you upload a new revision of the set, BidStream automatically links each sheet to its previous version so the team works on the current one. Ambiguous or conflicting scope is flagged for human review — it becomes a clarification or an RFI, not a silent AI decision.

Approved counts and measurements live in the takeoff register. From there you export a PDF with real vector annotations — it opens in any reader with selectable markups — and you can share an estimate with line items and sell prices without exposing costs or margins.
